Instead of making a bunch of short post, here is a quick update of what has been going on in my life... ya know... for the few people who care.

Matt Sucks

Matt hasn't wrote anything on his LiveJournal since November and he is expecting me to write something about him? Update your own shit with an Ode to David before you go asking for an Ode to you. (=P

Getting My Fix On

I got the window fixed on the Explorer last week. Replacing the door panel and fixing the hinges is gonna cost about $1,000. I decided to spend that money on fixing the clutch on the Mazda. I like the Explorer, but there has already been a couple of times when I needed a pickup truck. I've had my truck for 9 years now and I am missing her. I'll be putting my baby in the shop in the next two weeks.

Self-employment Sucks

There are so many reasons why I don't want to be self-employed any more:

• Confusing tax laws
• Extra paperwork
• Estimated tax payments
• Liability for damages
• There are no other employees to blame things on
• There is no boss to bitch to
• I'm too fucking nice and have been setting my rate way too low
• No job security

With all those things and more in mind, I decided to seek employment. I am now working as a Tech with a staffing agency. My first assignment was only a two week project and is over now. I hope they will be able to find me something long-term soon.

Memphis Gay Basketball v2.0

Last month I redesigned the Memphis Gay Basketball web site and made a new logo for it. I actually spent some time on this one. It is not exactly professional quality, but it is an improvement over the old logo. I also decided to use a top-side navigation so the site wouldn't look like I used BrainVacation as a template anymore. When I get the time, I plan on putting up a resources page with links to other gay sports sites.
