The Browser, Reloaded
Posted on Sunday, June 27, 2004 :|: Nobody cared enough to Comment

Microsoft has been annoying me more and more recently, so I finally downloaded Mozilla's Firefox. So far I really like it. I especially like their built in popup blocker. I was using Panicware's Pop-Up Stopper, but it blocks all popup windows unless you use an override key. Firefox can tell the difference between an automatic popup and a popup resulting from clicking a link.

I'm gonna start playing with Linux soon. Then I'll dive into Apache. I've already played with PHP on my backup server, and I like it a lot better than ASP. The main reason I haven't migrated over already is cause I would have to change my file extensions from .asp to .php and that would create dead links on other people's sites. Also, I have to rewrite the journal in PHP. I don't know if I am gonna switch the server to Linux or stay with Win2K. Either way, I need to learn Linux and UNIX. UNIX Nerds can make a lot more money than Microsoft Worshipers.
