My last entry has prompted email from two people it referred to. Their responses have convinced me to clarify my statements. The statement about Matt not being my friend anymore was based on the fact that he wasn't talking to me anymore. The statement about Andy not being my friend anymore was based on me not talking to him anymore.

Clarification regarding Matt:
The opinions expressed here are based on a third person interpretation. Those opinions may be slightly one-sided since I haven't heard Matt's side of the story on some issues. This should be expected since Matt stopped talking to me.

While I may roast people on my journal, they know what I think about them without reading my site. I never say anything on my web site or in an email that I wouldn't want any particular person to read. Marc's mom printed off my entire journal and showed it to Marc. There were some not so polite comments about Marc in there, but he admitted that he was not surprised by anything he saw.

I know that my comments were based on a third person interpretation, but it wasn't completely hearsay. I was there when Marc confronted Matt about drinking his liquor. I saw Matt's room too. While it didn't look all that bad, it wasn't in a showroom state, which is what they need the house to be in. I do think they could have done a little better explaining their idea of clean. As far as the controlling of his drinking, they were trying to help him. I told them that he has to want to stop drinking or their efforts will fail. I also told them that it would take time for him to stop. They didn't listen. They thought he would be able to quit cold turkey just because they said to. I tried to tell them what they were doing, but they wouldn't listen. Also, they told me they cut off his internet access because he wasn't helping around the house as expected. Once again I think they could have done a little better explaining what they expected out of him.

Clarification regarding Andy:
I really don't know what to say about Andy. We have both changed over the last few years. We have been growing apart also. All I can say is the end of our friendship was more my fault than his. I don't know why, but I kinda wanted the friendship to end. I guess there were some things that I just couldn't get over.
