Privacy Please

Telemarketers are probably the most annoying people in the world. People have tried for ages to avoid telemarketers, but they often times are able to foil our attempts. We got caller ID and they started blocking their number. We blocked unknown numbers and they found a way around that. Then BellSouth came up with a service called Privacy Director. If a caller's number doesn't display on the caller ID, they are redirected to Privacy Director and must state their name and business before my phone will ring. When I pick up the phone, it plays their message and gives me the option to accept the call, ignore the call, or reject the call with an automated message. The automated message says, "Phone solicitations are not accepted at this number. Please add the name and telephone number to your do not call list." I just got a phone call through Privacy Director from BellSouth. Of course I rejected it. I just think it is funny that I used BellSouth's Privacy Director service to reject one of their own sales calls. At least I hope it was a sales call. Comments
